Lord of the Flies
Synopsis
Schoolboys stranded on an island without adults try to govern themselves with a shell and a signal fire. Golding, who had taught boys and fought in a war, does not believe the absence of grown-ups produces innocence. The hunt changes the rules faster than the meetings can.
