Dune
Synopsis
On a desert planet that is the only source of a spice empires cannot function without, the heir of a betrayed house learns to live with the people the empire treats as obstacles. Herbert builds a future of feudal houses, giant worms, and messianic politics, and is deeply suspicious of the hero he creates.
